And the votes are in.. last night Mumbai’s glitterati turned out at the Taj Land’s End for the FHM India – Manzoni Style Icon Awards 2009. Basically giving the most stylish men in the country from the world’s of business, politics, films, sports, music and television an additional 15 minutes of fame. Farah Khan hosted the event with juicy insider info from behind the scenes of Bollywood while Vikram Phadnis showcased a specially crafted designer line for the occasion. (Kind of a “what to wear if you’re already there” collection) while Bhavana Pandey and Sharmilla Khanna co-played hostess with the mostest.

And the winners are…

Most Stylish Couple: Arjun and Meher Rampal – looks like no one won my contest, and Nikki Bedi you were right! All the winners miraculously (and somewhat conveniently) all happened to be in attendance!

Most Stylish Industrialist: Yash Birla (now there’s a shocker!)

Most Stylish Ad-Film Maker: Kailash Surendranath

Most Stylish Actor: Akshay Kumar (love that he quipped “Don’t worry Tina I’m taking this award home” after Twinkle had expressed disapproval when he gave up best actor honors to Aamir Khan at the Screen Awards)

Most Stylish Music Personalities: Salim and Suleiman

Most Stylish Sports Personality: Vijendra Singh (he’ll be putting that right beside his Olympic medal I bet!)

Most Stylish Art Personality: Bose Krishnamachari, Most Stylish Photographer: Atul Kasbekar, Most Stylish TV Actor:  Rohit Roy (Is it just me or did those last two awards seem conveniently custom-made for the occasion?)

The ones who watched included hosts Hoshang Billimoria (CEO – Next Gen Publishing),  Shreyas Joshi, Gautam Singhania (Chairman Managing Director (CMD) Raymonds accompanied by his wife Nawaz Singhania, Twinkle Khanna, Sheetal Mafatlal, Pinky & Sanjay Reddy, Kaajal Anand,  Deepika Padukone, Arbaaz & Malaika, Dia Mirza, Amrita Rao, Queenie Dhody , Amrita Arora, Goldie Behl & Sonali Bendre, Madhu Shah Amrita Arora, Vikram Chatwal, Arti Surendranath, Sophie Choudhury, Kekashan Patel, Sajid Khan, Arti Chabbria, Chunky Pandey ,  Sonia Mehra, Rohit Bal, Lasccelles Symmons and Khushroo Bhadha.

Special mention to Malaika Arora Khan and her va va voom purple dress. Seriously folks, somebody should give her an award for being by far, the “hottest mom in showbiz.”
