Long-time sweethearts, Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia and restaurateur Farhan Azmi tied the knot on Sunday in a private ceremony at Azmi’s restaurant Koyla at Apollo Bunder, Mumbai.Don’t you just love Takia’s porcelain doll do in that beige studded sari? The theme was white — white curtains enclosed the marriage area, the venue was decked with white flowers, white lights adorned the trees, the mandap and the stage, there were even white coolers in the VIP area! The nikah was followed by a sumptuous spread of Continental food by Azmi’s Basilico and Moghlai by Delhi Durbar. Three hours later, the couple was seen leaving the premises for the Azmi residence next door. Followed by the reception on Monday night, at the East Lawns of the CCI Club, was a grand affair. The wedding, which was originally scheduled to take place on the Christmas Eve, was postponed due to the 26/11 attacks in the city.
