Club Culture and an Aurus Flashback
So last night I did the 5am hop till you drop starting at Aurus which ending at High Lounge (via Bling.) If you’ve never ventured Northward to party like no one has partied before boy are you missing out. I cannot explain how packed Aurus was and the pretty girls (forget guys!) queued up outside hoping to be let in even past 1am was pretty crazy. What is it about Aurus that makes it such a hotbed of the young and restless I wonder? I suppose I’ll have to go back tonight and find out. :)
I do recall though way back at the launch of FHM magazine I popped into Aurus at approximately 3am and clocked this for my Mid Day column on October 20th 2007…

At the FHM party at Aurus the very last to leave were Shah Rukh & Gauri Khan, Karan Johar (who spent a fair amount of time with Yash Birla), Anaita & Homi Adhajania, Manish Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi in a brown beanie trying desperately to play with the big boys.
I also distinctly recall my “celebrity oops” moment that night was whispering to my non-Indian friends “…that’s Gauri Khan! Shah Rukh Khan’s wife!” and them replying, “You mean the chick standing next to Shah Rukh Khan?” and I flipped around just in time to catch a glimpse of the back of his pony tailed head as he left the building.

Great blog! I dont think Ive seen all the angles of this subject the way youve pointed them out. Youre a true star, a rock star man. Youve got so much to say and know so much about the subject that I think you should just teach a class about it…HaHa!
