I Heart Farhan Akhtar!

I’m starting to like Farhan Akhtar more and more these days. When he’s not rocking the microphone (oh give the guy a break he can too sing besides he’s cute and doesn’t have to sound like Springsteen to be a rockstar, this is Bollywood after all) he’s reciting poignant poetry in support of battered women or playing Word Twist on Facebook. Just a regular “Dil Chahta Hai” type of guy, you know?
So I love the fact that he’s also supporting SPJ Sadhana School’s “Brick by Brick” Campaign which entreats Mumbaikars to voluntarily make donations so they can add additional floors to accommodate and teach more mentally challenged special children. Remember I told you about their fascinating fashion extravaganza last month?
Farhan will be inaugurating a special dance performance by NGO children on “Rock On!” while Hafeez Contractor will be designing the project and TCS & FCB Ulka will be providing additional assistance as well.
Full props to Manali Vengasarkar, Sister Gaitonde, Geeta Gopalakrishnan and Radhike Khanna – a truly magnificient woman with clearly a heart of solid gold (and she smiles a lot too. :))
