Ironically the first time I actually do believe the “just friends” shpeil it turns out I’m totally wrong! This just in; Slumdog Millionaire on-screen sweethearts Dev Patel and Freida Pinto just couldn’t keep their real-life romance under wraps. (Although in their defense they probably didn’t expect to be spotted kissing over dinner in a restaurant in Israel.) Dev reportedly jetted to Tel Aviv, Israel to visit Freida on the set of her new movie “Miral” and the two were later caught sharing a kiss during a romantic dinner. Awwwww.

The couple who played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, have often dismissed rumours about them dating for real (even after their co-star Anil Kapoor hinted that perhaps they were romantically involved.) Anil Kapoor (who I would never have taken to be much of a gossip but how cute) had previously commented, “When I meet them I feel there is something happening. (I think) this is the beginning of something exciting happening. They definitely make a great pair. Both of them look very good together.” 24-year-old Freida of course insisted, “We’re not dating,” which the 18-year-old Patel confirmed, “No, we’re not seeing each other.”
And for those of you gawking at the age gap I’ll have you know:
Sunil Dutt was 5 years younger than Nargis.
The 15-year gap between Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore raises eyebrows, but that’s about the same age difference as Geena Davis and her fourth husband, Dr. Reeza Jarrahy. They married in 2001.
Sachin Tendulkar is 5 years younger than his wife Anjali.
Construction worker Larry Fortensky wasn’t yet born when Elizabeth Taylor first married. Taylor met hubby No. 8 while they were in rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic. She was 59, 20 years older than him, when they married at Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch.

Funnily enough though, in October 1991 a small news snippet appeared mentioning the sudden marriage of Saif Ali Khan, aged 21, and starlet Amrita Singh, aged 26. A second story appeared in almost every publication years later about their divorce. Saif, at the time of their separation in 2004, was 34 and Amrita was 46. (I know marriage can age you but that’s a bit much!)
