Candy Girl

So in case you were wondering yes that is Genelia D’Souza in the new Cadbury Perk commercials. The company has dropped Preity Zinta and roped in the actress of Jane Tu, Ya Jana Na… fame as the Cadbury Perk brand ambassador to mark the re-launch of Cadbury Perk and has also added an interesting new variant Perk Poppers (kind of like maltesers) to its portfolio.
Out with the old…
And in with the new…
Genelia will also be replacing Rani Mukherjee in the new Fanta commercial. (Looks like Rani’s absence from the silver screen is affecting her popularity, she’s also lost the ‘Titan Raga’ campaign. A spokesperson from Coca Cola India said, “Yes, we have signed Genelia and shot the ad too. We have not renewed Rani’s contract after it got expired.”)

IMO the new perk ad sucks… Forget the low-on-creativity idea of making ties out of wrappers but does it also convey the ‘take it lightly’ position in any way? I guess not! Think the preity zinta ads were way better!
