It’s amazing how Kangana Ranaut’s PR machinery kicks in at the slightest whiff of controversy. Remember some time ago there was a little debate about her “real age” and they were the first to clarify, in fact they offered anyone who wanted one, a peak at her passport to prove it! So this time I got this (in all caps mind you.)

KANGNA RANAUT DENIES RUMOURS OF NUDE SCENE IN UPCOMING TELEGU FILM EK NIRANJAN

“There has been a variety of speculation in the media that critically acclaimed actor Kangna Ranaut will be doing a nude scene in her upcoming Telegu film “Ek Niranjan.” These are completely false and baseless reports.

Kangna Ranaut has no nude scene in this or any of her upcoming films and has clearly stated that she will not be essaying a role in cinema that requires nudity in any of her movies.

In the film, directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Aditya Ram, Kangna essays the role of a guitar teacher opposite South Indian actor Prabhas. An out-and-out commercial movie, “Ek Niranjan” gives equal importance to romance, action, fun and emotion.”

(Don’t forget the drama baby, don’t forget the drama.) But the one thing I do take away from this is that I’ve probably been spelling her name wrong all this while. It’s Kangna not Kangana. Doh!

Oh and I have more goss. Kangna has apparently been called for a screen test to Los Angeles for a movie starring F.R.I.E.N.D.S. actor Matthew Perry (that’s Chandler to you.) A source reveals, “Kangna met the agents who’d provided actors for the Kites schedule in the US.  People from the agent’s office met the actress and expressed interest in furthering her career in the West. Once Kangna came back she sent them the DVD’s of her movies. After seeing her performances, they have now called the young actress for a screen test. Ranaut will be flying end of this month or June first week depending on the schedule of Kites.”

The role in the romcom (god I hate that word) is not the lead however but it’s a substantial role. However Kangna says, “It’s not true that I am going to LA for a screen test.” Betchya Perry wouldn’t mind. (No word from the PR yet though!)
