Celebrity Spotlight: Candice Pinto

Candice Pinto
After winning the Gladrags Megamodel Hunt in 2000, Mumbai born (and raised) Candice Pinto decided modeling was going to be her life. (She had previously scored ‘best body’ at the Top Model of the World contest in Munich, 2001.) “By then I knew modeling was going to dominate my life but what further boosted my morale was winning the Ms. Tourism International Worldwide, Malaysia in 2002.” Not just a pretty face, surprisingly she has a Masters Degree in Economics too.

Remember? She told me this cute story at Valhalla about being at Adam and Nisha Bedi’s beach wedding in Goa and catching the bouquet (even though Aanchal Kumar was vying for it!) Candice also confessed that she didn’t know about the white wedding dress code so showed up in rainbow hues and was super embarrassed!

Lakme Fashion Week

Delhi Fashion Week finale

with Vogue in Jodhpur
What I’m up to now: “At the moment apart from Bangalore Fashion Week, doing the Blenders Fashion tour all India, traveling out of the country and a lot of shows in the pipe line, getting geared up for Kolkata Fashion Week, Lakme and many more to follow!”
Beauty Tip: “Do use a good Face cleanser and face cream at night. Drink lots of water and workout on regular basis it keeps you fit and fine.”
P.S. I just remembered seeing her at the JADE launch on Peddar Road, Mumbai (sometime before we were officially introduced.) Grumpy but gorgeous, lol…

I would like to see a ‘members only’ section here. Even if there was a small fee in order to view certain content, it might help to cut down on the less useful topics for those of us who only want to see the premium stuff. It’s actually pretty easy to set up a membership section on your blog, especially if you have the right tool. The solution that I use is called Wishlist Member (look it up) and it is quite powerful but easy to use. All you have to do is activate the plugin and set a few variables for the software… complete with protected, members-only content, integrated payments, member management, and so much more! You can create different levels of memberships. Easily upgrade members, move them to different levels, pause their membership, or delete them entirely. It is as simple as clicking a button to hide certain contents from your blog. Then you can set which membership levels will have access to the ‘hidden’ content. Create “modular” memberships and hide content from other levels. Getting paid from your members is also very easy with the integrated shopping cart systems that include PayPal, ClickBank, etc. Check it Out -> http://gourl.gr/g9s

Hey – good blog, just looking about some blogs, seems a pretty great platform you are using. I’m presently utilizing WordPress for several of my websites but looking to change one of them around to a platform comparable to yours as being a trial run. Anything in specific you would recommend about it?

Upon further review….. what about calling it a “Fantasy Football Calendar”? Each page could have a different table of useful information… some serious, some fun, some bizarre. Keep the verbiage to a minimum, because we all know a well presented table is worth a million words. With all the millions of fantasy players in this world, these things would sell like crazy!
