Nishka Lulla launched her label “Nisshk” today over brunch at Fuel, a fashion store at Chowpatty. (Let me just say, you have to have some serious friendly goodwill in the industry to see this kind of celebrity turnout.) Spotted: Neetu Chandra, Sameera Reddy, Shirya Saran, Celina Jaitley (all in Nishka designs), Juhi Chawla, Esha Deol, Vikram Phadnis, Aftab Shivdasani and of course her proud mummy Neeta Lulla.

Um, is it just me or Esha Deol looking a tad chubby? (What’s that they say about fits that flatter the figure?) Didn’t get the memo about brunch attire or perhaps no free dress? Meow I know, I’m sorry. But just look at her!

Nishka’s collection is youthful, stylish, vibrant, trendy and fresh targeting women from 15 to 29. (Dang don’t you hate it when they do that? Throw everyone over 30 in a different target group? Don’t mind me, I’m not bitter, just decaffeinated.)

Nishka says, “I have used a lot of georgette, knit, cotton and laces with lots of frills for that complete feminine chic look. I have also used shibori for an Indian touch. It’s a collection which I am sure all young women would love to wear including me!”

A round of applause please for Celine Jaitley who has finally got it right, and how! Just the right amount of make up, a super chic (and still sexy) dress and totally working the new haircut. Va va voom right? (I did the before and after just so you can see for yourself what I’m talking about.)

And ladies! I am loving the shoes, especially the hot pink and purple, super funky!
