Satya Paul heralds the Autumn Winter season with its kaleidoscopic collection – ‘Maya’

The inspiration behind the collection is the ‘illusory’ world. This life is portrayed by the use of colors on fabric as if refracted through a prism. It is designer Puneet Nanda’s way to court glamour and fantasy in the form of colorful patterns on saris and garments.

With a deft use of pattern and color, a beautiful collection of easy to wear pieces make up Maya… ornamental designs, layers, shadows and contrasting elements render Maya a bold graphic look. The product line comprises of contemporary garments, fabrics, and saris.

In this collection the designer has reflected all aspects of the Satya Paul look – color, print and design. They form an integral part of the Satya Paul Design philosophy.

Another facet of the collection – the famous Satya Paul polka, is now drunk and dancing in ecstasy – a celebration of life.

Puneet Nanda is the Designer behind ‘Satya Paul’ and has imbibed his creativity and design capabilities from his father, the famous artist, Satya Paul. Puneet is primarily a self-taught artist, whose understanding spans multiple disciplines, from art to design to music. He began his career in 1982 and has been involved in a gamut of design activities from photography, graphic design, textiles, and finished garments to choreographing International Fashion shows for world famous designers, deeming him a true multimedia artist. Puneet’s collections are a reflection of the artist and art curator within him. Each sari is a 6-yard canvas for Puneet where he paints and designs all that influences and inspires him.

The inception of the Satya Paul Design Studio dates back to 1985, at a time when the Indian fashion Industry was still at a nascent stage; it immediately established itself with the originality and quality of its printed fabrics and garments. Ever since, the brand has traversed milestones not just in personal growth but also in elevating the benchmark for the entire industry.
