Aamir Khan

Hello! I’m back :) Apologies for not blogging, my bad… There just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day. Also a night of slamming back an entire bottle of Yeni Raki (a popular Turkish apéritif, aka death-in-a-shot-glass) with my buddies on Wednesday night kinda killed my productivity for the week. Was it worth it? All I can say is it sure felt like it at the time :)
So here’s the buzz. I just dubbed for a new Coca Cola commercial that features Aamir Khan! If they decide to keep my slightly hung over voice I’ll be the giggle and gasps of girl number two (aka the one in pink.)

It’s actually a very cool advert too; the scene opens to two girls on a sofa, one asks the other “apna hero kidhar hain?” and girl number two (that’s me!) replies “…game mein ghusa hua hain, as usual!” the girls open a coke and you get a zoomed in shot of the TV where an animated biker that looks exactly like Aamir Khan is racing a slightly seedier version of himself. When he hears the bottle open he decides to jump out of the race and cheekily tells the girls (who are mocking him about finally showing up) “aapne itne pyar se bolaiya to aana hi pada!” to which girl number 2 replies with a sarcy “bolaiya?” (You’d be surprised how many retakes the director sahib wanted for that one!) Anyhow I shouldn’t ruin the suspense, but lets just say there’s some cool animation and a super dishy Mr. Khan to look forward to. *fingers crossed* they keep my giggles. I’ll let you know! Meanwhile here’s another gritty, car-racing video game ad for coke, cute eh? Now just picture Aamir Khan as the main character… yummy!
