I got this in the mail today… While not nearly as risque it kinda reminded me of the legendary Madhu Sapre (and then boy friend) Milind Soman’s extremely steamy print ad for Tuff Shoes back in the day. Remember?
The Tuff shoes campaign concept, which was inspired by a Nastassja Kinski poster was too bold for the Indian audiences and created quite a furor all over the country leading to the registration of a case of “obscenity” against Madhu Sapre and Milind Soman by the Maharashtra government who felt “it might send a wrong message to the society.” (Basically it was a really big deal because both Milind and Madhu had posed nude. )
