Aamir Khan gets Facebook friendly!

Aamir Khan
Thanks for the heads up on Twitter @mannku! I’m quiet gutted actually. I probably spend a good 30% of my life on Facebook and I had no idea Aamir Khan was masquerading as Pucca Idiott all this while! Finally late last night, Aamir wrote on his wall, “Ok guys, I give up. I guess its time to drop my defences. Yeh Star News wale bade kamzarf hain, mera bhanda phod diya, yaar. Not that I mind interacting with all of you, don’t get me wrong. But I have my blog at aamirkhan.com for just that.”

hard at work
In fact the paparazzi got wind of it and reported last week, “In what could be a case of another online identity theft in Bollywood, one Facebook ID is generating big buzz on the internet. There is speculation that a Facebook profile called ‘Pucca Idiott’ is really Aamir Khan and the actor is making friends with people under this pseudonym. The information reads that he is Akash Malhotra (his character’s name in Dil Chahta Hai) and lives in Bandra, Mumbai. His interests are badminton and tennis and Calvin and Hobbes is his favorite comic. These details are indicators that it may be Bollywood’s very own perfectionist, Aamir Khan himself.”

Ace Khan
Why would Aamir Khan need a Facebook account to interact with fans that for starters would never all fit on Facebook’s 5,000 friends limit? Aamir says, “Here, on Facebook, I was trying to be anonymous so that anyone I interact with treats me like a normal guy. Also I get to know what you folks are really thinking and feeling. Sometimes you might not share everything with me, or might not be totally frank with me, if you know who I am.” If you’re having trouble buying this then check it out, he posted pictures of him and his wife Kiran Rao on holiday in Chamonix, as proof for the skeptics. *sigh*

haha..Malini,let me say ‘finally a news channel unearthed something that was not murky and dark and ughly’…Finding Aamir’s fb page must have been a pleasant event to report, I’m sure.:)The guy has his heart in the right place- this is a fun way to get to know his fans better, rather than just through his website.Wonder if he’ll open another fb page under some other acronym?

Hahaha ya I’m quite impressed that he’s keeping it up though (which also makes me a little suspicious!)
