I saw the Sign! Blogilicious in Bombay.

On Sunday after my first belly-dancing class (no seriously a whole hour to Maiya Maiya from “The Guru” which is actually not as unbearable as you’d think – except now I’ve just realized that it was my pet peeve Mallika Sherwat’s ‘item number’ in the film and I don’t quite know how to feel, but I digress…) I we went to watch the Amy Adams and Meryl Streep starrer “Julie & Julia” with my girls (Hi Ami! I know you’ll read this at lunch tomorrow and it makes me happy!) What a feel-good film (that will make you very hungry!) and the coolest thing happened. It was my sign to keep on blogging.
Not like I was planning to stop or anything but a definite sign that I’m exactly where I should be, doing exactly what I should be doing, right now. How bizarre that this movie is about a girl who writes a blog and gets excited about the comments/sometimes freebies she gets! (Alright its also about cooking, which I know nothing about but that’s besides the point!)
A long time ago (possibly around the time I saw Serendipity) I started to believe in signs and that God leaves little breadcrumbs of intuition for you to find along the way, so you know you’re on the right track. (Something as silly and random as the name of someone you love on the back of an auto-rickshaw.) Sometimes it feels like Déjà Vu, other times just an overwhelming sense of joy. (Just like when you’re NOT on the right path you will feel it deep down inside, everything might be going perfectly well but you won’t really be happy.) So I just wanted to tell you that, keep an eye out for those signs and if you get the chance tell me when you spot one, I’d love to know!

Its so true malini. things may seem so right, yet so wrong! at the same time when everything seems to be going wrong, suddenly, just suddenly, there will be something unexpected that happens which bring out some very positive changes in ur life which u never remotely even anticipated!.i always believe that the best and the worst (and all the things in between, if there are situations such as those, coz as humans very few personal issues fall in the intermediate category!) are governed by the unknown. And it is in this phase of the unknown that surprises spring up, such surprises either manifesting itself in people or silly instances or anything which just makes u feel like u have gained perspective or that there is some kind of intervention which is making u ‘see’ things. Though it is commonly said that situations (and frame of mind, at times) make u look into the good and bad of things, i beg to differ in that regard. Especially for someone like me when everything consequential in life has happened accidentally, i firmly believe in ‘signs’, ‘everything happens for a purpose’…u get d drift:)
