Nike India launched their sportswear collection on Friday night at a party hosted by Mahesh Bhupathi, Anushka Manchanda, Bhaichung Bhutia, Mandira Bedi, Sheetal Malhar and Rocky S. at Vie in Juhu, Mumbai. (This explains why I got invites from both Anushka and Rocky!) Shivani Dandekar was the emcee and apparently did a pretty good job of embellishing everyone’s descriptions with a humorous twist. You’ll never guess who the house favorite was though – Bhaichung Bhutia’s would you believe it? The crowd went crazy when Bhaichung’s name was announced and the emcee couldn’t help saying, “wooooooh lots of fans!”

Gotta say Anushka Manchanda looked super hot in her mini denim shorts with matching Nike kicks, magenta socks and trendy hot-pink trimmed Nike Jacket, needless to say the dudes where drooling! Also spotted one of the photogs run up to the gate as one chubby-ish girl entered, turns out it was Shikha from “Wake up Sid!” Oh and guess what, Anushka’s baby bro was there too, Shikhar Yuvraj Manchanda member of the band Reverse Polarity who won Channel [v]’s Launchpad earlier this year. All in all quite the eye candy event (and then everyone went to Tote to bounce to Gordon Edge :)
