Here’s how that arty event I told you about went (after being moved by a day) as per the press note; “For Sachi Vajani – a self taught artist, it was an evening of many firsts. First exhibition ever of her life, first ever interaction with the press and she did field all the questions thrown at her with ease. Sachi showcased her recent collection of paintings titled Divinity at Gallerie Leela, Andheri…Well known solicitor and hubby Kunal Vajani played the host to all the guests. Model Shamita Singha co-hosted the event. Spotted: Angad Bedi (cricketer Kishen Bedi’s son), Sushil & Falguni Jhaveri (who suffered the fate of most Mumbaikar’s coming from South Mumbai on Saturday evening because of the swearing in ceremony at Raj Bhavan of the government.) Brothers Siddhaarth & Hrishikesh Kannan, model Natasha Suri and jewelery designer Amisha Khanna.

Why Divinity?
Sachi says “Divinity is amalgam of sanctity, purity and power. It may be easy to look around our world today and see the appearance of chaos, difficulty and strife. Yet, when we come from an open heart, we can also see our opportunity to love all things into balance, joy, harmony and peace.” Sachi’s exhibition will be on display till November 12th.

Do you mean Bishen Singh Bedi’s son? Or is there some cricketer Kishen Bedi I’m not aware of?
What’s up with all these bored socialites desperately trying to appear anything but the bored socialites that they are. I remember back in the day in Delhi, Shalu Jindal metamorphosed overnight from “Shalu Jindal, socialite” to “Shalu Jindal, accomplished Kuchipudi dancer” (Ms. Jindal is the wife of moneybags politician Naveen Jindal).
I’m sure henceforth Ms. Vajani would be referred to as “Sachi Vajani, renowned painter”.
