On Wednesday night the JW Marriott, Juhu pool-side was all jazzed up for the launch of Roberto Cavalli luxury vodka. Omigod so much fun, I ran into peeps I haven’t seen in ages like Vik – cinematographer extraordinaire, my favorite multi-talented musician, Raghav Sachar who jokingly told After Hours hostess Tara D’Souza exactly what my mom (who’s visiting and came out on the town with me and my sis) did about expecting it to be a Qawwali night! And those you see often (and are always friendly) like Sunny Sara’s Brazilian model girlfriend Bruna Abdalah, Ivana Perovic and Shveta Salve. Also spotted Amrita Rao, Anita Dongre, Carol Gracias, Parvati Omanakuttan (Miss India World), Prahlad Kakkar, Tapur and Rocky S. with a a whole lot of eye-candy hovering around him!
Psst! The Marriott was hosting three simultaneous events, one of them appeared to be a high profile wedding for which both Jackie Shroff and Govinda had turned up and I spotted them in the lobby on the way out!

The host, Tomasso Cavalli (son of the infamous Roberto Cavalli) was being charming and Italian (which is pretty much the same thing) but was rather cutely wary of me when I told him I was a blogger, go figure! But I told him he had nothing to worry about, the party was fab and the vodka-tinis super yummy (the waiters were even trained to offer everyone a shot first – cocktail later!) He in turn told me I should really be drinking it straight so I can taste the smoothness (this may explain why I totally forgot to take more video footage, my bad!) but for now check out the party pics…

1-Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukmani—-A DEVINE INTRESTING DEVINE TRUTH OF THE LIFE OF GODDESS RUKMANI———————
In her married life with Krishna,Rukmani’s mood was diffrent.On one occasion,Krishna decided to put it to the test.
–Oneday Lord Krishna was relexing on Rukmani’s bed while she gently fanned him.She appeared respledent in a crimson sari,decorated with gold and girdledwith a belt studded with pricless gems.Her necklace glittered and her golden bangles jangled pleasingly together.She seemed to be showering nectar as she waved a fan made of peacock feathers to keep Krishna cool.
Admiring her her incomprable beauty,Krishna smiled at her and said,”My dear queen, many kings as powerful as Gods sought your hand.They had so much wealth,power and influence,as well as physical might and generosity.Why di you rejected them in favour of me.Sishupal is king from a nobel line, where as I come from a family of cowherd”
She stared disbelievingly at Lord Krishna.What did he mean?They had been married for years and had many childrens.Krishna still spent much time in her company.had he become tired of her? It was totally out of character for him to address her in such a way.She had been so sure of his love ,but he seemed serious.Plainly he was suggestinga sepration.The mere thought of such a thing made Goddess Rukmani’s heart tremble.her mind became confused.It was utterly bewildering.
Not sure what to say or do,Rukmani scratced the floor with her toes. Tears darkened by her eyeshadow ran down her cheeks and dripped on to her breast,which were decorated with red cosmetic powder.Her head dropped and fan fell from her hand.Suddenly she fainted,falling head long to the floor like a tree toppled bythe wind,her hair and ornaments scattering.
Krishna jumped to catch his distraught wife .He had not meant to cause her any pain.Obviously,his joking words had been taken to seriously.Mainfesting four arms,he gently lifted Rukmani on the bed and stroked her face,straightening her dishevelled hair.As she opened her eyes,Krishna began to console her.
” Most beautiful lady,Forgive me.I spoke only in jest.Knowing your devtion for me ,I wanted to see what you would say.I also wanted to see the beauty of your face while your lips trembled in loving anger.I wanted to see the redish corners of your eyes throwing angry glances at me and your exquisite eyebrows knitted in a frown.House holders nearly always enjoy joking with their wives ,and I was simply indulging in that pleasure.Do not think otherwise, O timid one”
Rukmani regained her composure and smiled bashfully.She looked lovingly Lord Krishna and Said,” Actually everything u said was true.We are certainly not equal match.What women could equal u,the Lord of all movig and unmoving beings?Even the God worship you, but only those who are free of all material desire attain you.
I wish noyone else as my Lord.Please bless me that I always remain unswervingly attracted to you.”
Krishna took Rukmani’s hand———————–It was devine to eternal.God and Goddess from the sky were observing Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukmani.

There is the inner world of love and intimacy ,and not the outer world of conquest,public glory and magnificence.”Radha is the transformation of Krishna,s love.She is his personal energy,who brings joy to him and his devtotees.The essence of this joy is LOVE OF GOD,and essecnce of that LOVE is TRANSCENDENTAL emotion,know as Bhava.This culminates in ultimate stage of devine love know as–maha Bhava.Radha is embodiment of Maha-bhava.She is the repository of all good qualities and crest jewel of all Krishna’s energies.
“Radha is the storehouse of spiritual LOVE and her countless expansions manifest unlimited aspects of that LOVE.
Resplendent and most beautiful,she is worshipable to everyyone; she is the protector of all and the mother of intire universe .She is the full power and Krishna is the possessor of that power.Radha and Krishna are inseparable, like musk and its scent, or fire and its heat.They exist in two distinct forms only to injoy the exchange of LOVE.”
The Power of LOVE———-
The vaishnavas see Radha as the fountain head of all other Godess forms.In her expansions as Durga or kali,She displays her material power,but as Radha,she displays only the power of love.As the story of Gopis illustrated ,this is the greatest of
all powers.The progression of spiritual consciousness by the practice of yoga and Meditation moves on incresingly toward devine love.The practioner gradually loses in anything other than its attainment.No extraordinary power or opulance can attract the person who experiences the devine loving ecstasy of union with the absolute.Radha alone bestows this ecstasy ,of which she is the epitome and pinnacle.With out her grace one can not achive the spiritual perfection of unadulterated love.Therefore she is always worshiped along with Krishna.
In the famous Maha-mantra ,the word hare is a form of the name Hara? which means divine energy and thereby indicates Radha.By chanting this mantra,one simulataneously supplicates both Radha and Krishna,praying to be connected with God through medium of his loving energy.TheGreat saint CHAITANYA taught that one who attains success in this chanting will experience the True meaning of LOVE.
Nevertheless ,a word of caution is required.The estoric pastimes displayed by Radha and Krishna are manifestation of pure spiritual energy and have nothing to do with matter or material desire.Unscrupulous artist and writers sometimes try to depict these past times in mundane erotic terms, but this is mistaken.The pure LOVE of Radha is described in many wonderful stories in which she exhibits a range of loving feelings. Some time these feeling appear negative ,such as anxiety,grief or anger,but they are always manifestation of diffrent type of ecstasy.Free from any tinge of selfish desire,Radha’s emotions are displays of the most sublime sentiment.Again or ability to appreciate these sentiments depend upon our spiritual evolution.
Eventually We reach a stage where simply hearing them plunges us in to an ocean of TRANSCENDENTAL bliss,where all
material miseries are forgotton.
THE GITA GOVINDA————-
The relegious and literary history of India was profoundly changed by a simple poem written in twelfth century.
Jayadeva’s GITA GOVINDA inspired HINDU art ,literature and religion by telling the story of the loves of Krishna and Radha in a way that broke the customary idea of an all powerful male GOD.With his poem , Jayadeva changed forever the way that people in INDIA looked at the deity.
On the surface the GITA GOVINDA appears to be a simple human story of infidelity,
jealousy and reconciliation, but ultimately it establishes the supermacy of female qualities and their ability to conquer the most powerful forces.The poem starts where raslila leaves off -KRISHNA–surrounded by hundereds of Gopis, all vying for his love and attention.He looks to the entire world like erotic LOVE incarnate,intoxicated by spring,his every limb draped by an adoring Goddess.When Radha saw this ,she becomes jelous and angry, and left the seen in a huff,unable to tolerate being
treated as just another of Krishna’s many mistresses.
suddenly Krishna became aware of Radha’s absence and he saw that his playboy prowess was an indulgence he could not afford.She was irreplaceable without her he was lost.Radha was ,he realized, the thread that kept his world in order.Unable to bear even one more moment without her, he abandoned all the other admiring beauties of Vrindavan and began looking her.Krishna searched high and low ,but could not find her anywhere.The arrows of love pierced his weary mind until he was exhausted.He called out the GOD OF LOVE, ” Do not mistake me for Shiva and burn me with your arrows.Why do you rush at me vengefully? If I have already been vanquished by the living GODDESS OFLOVE

hari om from reshikesh. I wish u all a very prosperous,devine and healthy new year 2010 with the following devine story of Lord Krishna and goddess Radha.
Radha and Krishna meet again———
krishna’s some year departure from Vrindavan,there occured a solar eclipse.Advised by their astrologers,the resident of Vrindavan decided to go to the
pilgimagesite of kurukshetra to perform sacred rituals to counteract any negative effect of the eclipse might have.It so hapen that the many of the resident of
Dwaraka, including Krishna and his family members , the yadavas had also come there for same purpose.The Yadavas appeared quite majestic as they thronged
the vast field of Kurukshetra with their great chariots,elephants,decorated horses and royal dress.They appeared like that so many gods decended to earth with their
celestial consorts.The blare of their brass instruments and the beating of their drums created a tumultuous sound.In their midst sat Krishna and Balram devinly ornamented with gold and jewels, attracting everyone’s gaze.
Simple Gopis felt overwhelmed by this display of opulence.They looked in wonder at Krishna’s many thousand of wives,with their fine silk sarisand dazzling ornaments.How could they ever compete with such sophisticated beauties?
But krishna was deeply desirous of meeting his beloved gopis again.After the relegious rituals were complete and he had spoken with the other Vrindavan inhabitants,he immediately took the Gopis to a secluded place.Completely lost in their love for Krishna,radha and her friends gazed at him cursing the fact that they had to blink
and momentarily stop looking at him.They took him in to their hearts and embraced him to their full satisfaction.But krishna,seeing that they were in ecstatic trance,
expanded himself in to many forms and physically embraced each one of them back to their senses.
As the Gopis came back to external consciousness,Krishna laughed and said ,” My dear girlfriends, do you still think of me, even though i left you behind and have stayed away from you so long?Please know that I did this for the sake of my relatives ,in order to protect them from their enemies.Perhapes you think
I am an ingrate for not reciprocating with you unconditional love for me,but I am actually never seprated from you.”
Krishna spoke again as he had in his message delivered by Uddhava ,explaining the philosophical truth of his persence everywhere.The Gopis listened quitely,never taking their eyes from him even for a moment.But radha ,even though seeing krishna standing before her ,felt strangely dissatisfied.The philosophy spoken by
Krishna did little to assuage her longing to be with him again as she previously had in Vrindavan.This manifestation of krishna was not at all like that simple cowherd boy she had known.here he was dressed like a prince,surrounded by the trapping of royalty.Where now was the youngboy who has played his flute and completely captivated her heart?. Where was that sweet feeling of intimavy and love they had injoyed as they strolled along the banks of the Yamuna? This meeting in such formal ceremonious
surroundings could not compare with those transcendentally sublime day in Vrindvan.All the Gopis felt the same.Krishna’s philosophical instruction felt like the scorching sun
when they wanted only the cooling moon of his smiling face.Yet they could not go with him to Dwaraka,even if he invited them.They were simple cowherd women.Vrindavan
was thier home and they wanted krishna to comeback.However they know It was too late to comeback. krishna had too many risponsibilities in Dwaraka.he could not go back to the carefree days of his youth.Thinking only of the time when they had been together in Vrindavan’s groves and forests and realizing that he would not return,Radha and her friends bade krishna farewell and made their sorrowful wayback to Vrindavan without him.
