Mugdha Godse; to serve & Protekt!

Mugdha Godse, to serve & Protekt
See! I was so not kidding about this when I tweeted two days ago. Bollywood actress Mugdha Godse (remember her from Fashion?) launched Godrej Protekt, a range of instant hand sanitizers, hand washes and wet wipes at CST railway station Mumbai yesterday afternoon. I guess whatever pays the bills eh?

Mugdha Godse launches new hand sanitizer
The only thing I don’t appreciate about this campaign though is that the press release goes as far as to say, “reports from different health organizations state that there is a possibility of an outbreak of “Swine Flu” again this winter. Recognizing this, ‘Godrej Protekt® Instant Hand Sanitizer’ has been devised after extensive research and integrates the revolutionary “Insta Sanitize technology” that kills 99.99% of most common illness-causing germs in 15 seconds.” Now unless you’re giving it out free sounds a bit like you’re riding on the public’s fear factor right? #fail.

How come no one does the story about the new sanitizers on the market which are alcohol-free? There are new products that kill 3 times the germs, work up to 30 minutes, and they are safer to use than alcohol. This one is my favorite: http://www.cleanphirst.com/store/alcohol_free_foam_hand_sanitizer.asp

^^Because Mugdha isn’t representing them!
She looks great, and I’m happy to see her promoting this. Fashion was ace!

Whatever sells,I guess,is the keyword-so,even if it’s sell-by-scaring(about Swine Flu),it’s fine, in today’s competitive world.I didn’t get the logic of launching it at CST Railway Station, though?
