It's official!
My favorite young Khan (who turned 27 on January 13th) just got engaged to long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik over an intimate ceremony amid close friends and family at Vandana Malik’s farmhouse a short distance from Mumbai. I love the romance of their invite too – very “message in a bottle” (trying to find you a picture, watch this space!) Celebrity Spotting: The ring ceremony was attended by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Tahir Hussain, Faisal Khan, Purab Kohli, Karan Johar, Kunal Kapoor and Abhay Deol.

The big gift: Imran bought Avantika a Volkswagen Beetle specially imported from Europe as an engagement gift! Imran and Avantika also have matching number plates on their cars, he reveals, “Both of our license plates are a combination of her and my birthdates. She totally freaked out. She couldn’t believe it.” Now that’s what I call successfully living up to the filmy romantic hype! Good going Mr. Khan, you’ve set the bar way high :)
