“Back Seat” gets attention from the Front Row!

Shamita Singha, author Adita Kripalani and Suchitra Pillai

Suchitra Pillai reading passages from "Back Seat"
Suchitra Pillai read passages from the novel “Back Seat” by Aditya Kripalani at an event hosted by Shamita Singha over the weekend at Crossword Bookstore in Bandra, Mumbai. Shamita says that what she likes best about the book, “is the fact that it’s characters, situations and backdrop feel so real and well described that at no point do you feel that you’re reading fiction.” Back Seat is a love story between an out-of-work Bar Dancer and a Driver, based out of Mumbai, and of course, the events unfold from the rear seat of a car… There’s a nice book review on it by Trendylicious here. I feel like reading it now :)
Psst! The book might just make it to the big screen and is currently being considered by some of the leading lady stars of the country as film material.
