So here’s my Karthik Calling Karthik review! I really loved it (and hindsight even more than when I first left the theater.) Farhan Akhtar is the man, he can direct, act, sing, dance the works. I’d keep him on my radar if I were you.

Farhan Akhtar was born in Mumbai to screenwriters, Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani. is stepmother is the actress Shabana Azmi (apparently they all get along just fine!)
He is also the grandson of Urdu poet Jan Nisar Akhtar and the cousin of Bollywood film director and dance choreographer Farah Khan.
His sister, Zoya Akhtar, recently made her directorial debut with Luck By Chance, in which Farhan was the main lead.
Farhan and Hrithik Roshan have been friends since they were kids.
Farhan started his career by working as an apprentice with cinematographer-director, Manmohan Singh at age 17, for films like Lamhe (1991)
He is married to Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar and they have two daughters: Shakya and Akira. They live in Bandra Bandstand, Mumbai
His next big project is back in the directors seat for Don 2 (2011) he told me about the pressure of having to deliver a bigger twist than before on Pirate Radio some time ago, here check it out! And ladies I won’t blame you if you drool a little, lol.)
