I got the chance to interview Rahul Bose today about his upcoming release “The Japanese Wife” (which by the way, sounds like my kinda movie). The bitter-sweet soufflé of love and heartache that always chokes me up. (I think it’ll be something like the tragic tale of those two lovers Griffin & Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondence I once told you about remember?) “The Japanese Wife” hits theaters on April 9th 2010. Can’t wait!

i love rahul bose – and it’s been so long since i;ve seen any of his movies. i always enjoy his interviews – he’s never fake, and runs the gamut from scolding the interviewer for asking him ridiculous questions to displaying this intensity when he talks about issues that really interest him. i also just love the way how he speaks – i could listen for hours.
btw malini this is the first of your videos i have watched – you have a very nice way about you while interviewing! i’m also glad that you referenced griffin and sabine, which now really makes me want to watch this movie.

i am really impressed with the way you interviewed him. you let him speak his thoughts without interrupting him and let him express himself.
i’ve seen many well known interviewers constantly interrupting their guest. so kudos to you.

MissMalini I’ve always been curious to know who shoots your videos? The desihits ones at your place… or do u jus balance your FLIP on something n shoot…

ak, gaga thank you so much :) I try to not think of questions in advance and let it go where it goes to avoid interrupting find it so annoying when journos end up sounding like they’re more interested in asking the question than getting an answer! thePURPLEspirit Lol not a creepy question at all :) so I have a tripod (will take a picture next time lol) its tiny so now I balance the FLIP on a book in front of my mirror so I can see how I look while I shoot (its not easy!) When someone is around I ask them to help like this one Prajeet from Radio One shot for me so he could zoom in and out! Yay for iMovies I LOVE making them!
