Shah Rukh Khan votes for Shah Rukh Khan. Awwww.

Shah Rukh Khan

@iamsrk
Oh my God how cute is that? Which is why whoever came up with this stupid post is gonna get a virtual slap from me. So apparently Shah Rukh Khan happened to vote for himself in TIME Magazine’s “most influential people list” this year (a list I believe he’s already made it to in the past FYIP*) so some genius of a blogger has decided to deem SRK “insecure” and “hungry for one more vote” Oh shaddup! We’re talking about Shah Rukh Khan here. He doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone and I for one think its kinda sweet that he voted for himself, its what humble people do. Besides he already tweeted how he felt cheesy doing it which makes it that much cuter. In fact, now I’m pissed so I’m going to go vote for him, coming?
*For Your Information, Please. My BF coined this version and I like it very much, no harm being polite right? :)

I think what he did was fine and very sweet. SRK doesn’t need to feel ‘insecure’, as that other article states he is. If he had gone and voted for someone else, someone would come up with the argument that “even SRK doesn’t believe he deserves to win”. If he hadn’t voted at all, they would have said he was arrogant and “too assured” of the outcome. Besides, his twitter post even shows his slight embarrassment at the act of voting for oneself. But don’t politicians, come election-time, go to polling stations and vote? Do we seriously believe that they don’t vote for themselves? Of course they do. If they don’t vote for themselves, why should we? I say good on SRK.
As human beings we have to love ourselves. If I don’t believe in myself, why should anyone else believe in me?
