LFW is coming up next month; September 17 – September 21, 2010 and my namesake Malini Ramani has been announced as the grand finale designer for Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2010! I had a lot of fun at her Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2010 show and even got her to give me a quick line about what “Malini” really means :) Here’s the scoop on here collection this season.

Malini Ramani says, “The Lakmé Gypsy collection is based on Lakmé’s winter palette dedicated to the Gypsy within us all. The Lakmé Grand Finale will see me working through a completely new point of view in the colors and influences that are impacting my journey though this collection. The gypsy spirit has caught me and I feel I am journeying beyond my familiar space in ways that have taken me by surprise as well. ”
