MissMalini is the best! If you don’t believe me check out her blog www.missmalini.com. Especially, if like me you have lived in Bombay for years and then spend long months away from it in a completely diametrically opposite setting, it will keep you sane! I would read her blog often whenever I was homesick and somehow I missed the fab life a little less…
There’s something for everyone, cool gossip, contests, updates on the party life, you name it, she has it. I wrote in for one such contest, not expecting to win, but just for the fun of it and guess what?!! I won!! So now, not only was I looking forward to coming back home to beautiful Bombay but also to being beautified through a makeover at MAC and a free photo-shoot by Aneesh Bhasin.
After a Zillion e-mails back and forth for a week I finally landed up at the MAC Juhu for my much awaited MAC over… (this is the part where the unending e-mails had caused a confusion reg the dates, but as soon as that was sorted out), I was on my way from Drab to Fab.. !!
We were done in less than an hour, when Aneesh arrived with the stylist Karina and off we went to the beach for the “shoot”!
The pics speak for themselves and I love them!!
For me though, it was a lot more than just make up and photos… I was apprehensive at first, thought what have I gotten into.. but everyone was so sweet about it.. of course, Malini, Nirant, Aneesh, Karina and even the girl who did my make up at MAC, Shaili… That’s why I love this city I call home… Everyone who lives here is the best! Helpful, generous and friendly; even to a perfect stranger!
Thanks Malini, (and all the rest) for making me look as beautiful as I feel and making this city even more beautiful!!
