Karan Johar often asks the question – Can two actresses be friends? Well, I’m eagerly awaiting the Koffee with Karan show this Sunday to see Rani Mukherjee and Vidya Balan. They sure have created quite a buzz especially with their new movie together “No One Killed Jessica”. It seems these two are quite similar, are they copying each other or are they true BFFs? Well  here are a bunch of photographs of the two along with MissMalini and my thoughts. I personally feel they are trying to out do each other! Lets hope somebody wins this battle, without long lasting injuries!

ROUND 1

MissMalini says: White always works, but I’m not a fan of Vidya’s drain pipe denims and clunky kicks so I’ve gotta give it to Rani for keeping it clean & classy.
Sue Says: Both ladies love white, I think Vidya looks a little more at ease in her outfit than Rani.

ROUND 2

MissMalini says: Vidya keeps it classic (so its clear the ethnic garb is not a scam, she genuinely likes to be Indian buy Indian) but I’m a bit bored of the anarkali overdose. Unfortunately little girls (height wise) should stay far far away from ankle-length gowns. That’s a dress that dwarfs you further (even with very high heels to compensate!) Sorry Rani Vidya wins.
Sue Says: Although I love Vidya in Indian wear, I love Rani daring to wear a gown even more.

ROUND 3

MissMalini says: I’m guessing Vidya’s been watching Rani’s style for some time now, but they manage to both look equally elegant in similar styles, it’s check-mate!
Sue Says: Seems like they have the same stylist! I think they both look stunning though.

ROUND 4

MissMalini says: While Vidya looks fresh and dewy little miss brown eyes steals the show for me.
Sue Says: So Photoshop picture v/s candid picture, both girls choose the same make up, but I’m going with the untouched Rani.
This round goes to = Rani

FINAL ROUND

MissMalini says: One designer two beautiful birds. Smart choice ladies.
Sue Says: With their sugar daddy offering up his clothes at their beck and call I’d say they made a smart move!
This round goes to = Both. It’s a draw!

THE VERDICT

Looks like Rani’s got an edge over her younger counterpart, but that works out well since she’s something of a mentor to her too. Keep it up ladies we hardly see enough real “girlfriends” in showbiz.
