A month in the life of Giorgio Armani, is that too much to ask for? February was a particularly tough month for the good folks over at Armani, not only did they have to dress the stars for the Oscars, but also get ready to showcase their Fall/winter 2011 collection! Here is a short update on all that fun glamorous life we associate with the Oscars and runways – Armani Style.
At the Oscars Armani was seen not only on the red carpet but also on stage. Both Anne Hathaway and Anne Sweeney wore his dresses on stage. The leading men Geoffrey Rush, Mark Wahlberg, Armie Hammer, Billy Crystal and even our own Abhishek Bachchan looked dapper in Armani suits. Those were just the men, Celine Dion, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Reese Witherspoon also opted for Armani gowns. My personal favourite of the three being Reese Witherspoon, the black and white strapless gown with a slight trail looked effortlessly chic on her, not mention the great Emerald earrings and classic 50’s make up!
I guess it’s all in a days works for the veteran designer who also managed to squeeze in a collection and some cheese time with the stars who attended his show. Ricky Martin, Hayley Atwell, Ruth Wilson and the vivacious Ms Tina Turner were all looking stylish, naturally they were wearing Armani. It looks like the collection was a sea of black garments with a punch of electric blue. I can’t wait to be able to review the collection (fingers crossed) it looks even better than the Spring/Summer collection!
Psst! I’m in love with the red Lipstick Ruth and Hayley are wearing. Need to find that perfect shade of red for Indian skin!
