Deepika is a 22 year old girl from Delhi. Apparently, dirty incidents from her life will be shown at a theatre near you in the form of Ragini MMS. Ragini MMS claims to be a sensuous, paranormal film based on the quintessential couple, Ragini and Uday, who set out to have a dirty weekend at a friend’s farmhouse on the outskirts of Mumbai. The weekend getaway quickly changes gears as they find themselves in a house that has been rigged with cameras in Bigg Boss style. The cameras that were meant to capture love-making are witness to something that is beyond the realm of human understanding… something metaphysical.
Based on true incidents, the film is about an MMS. Deepika, on whom Ragini’s character is based held a press conference to voice her disappointment with Ekta Kapoor, the producer of Ragini MMS. As per the contract given to her by Balaji Films, she should be shown the movie before the release of the film. However, Ekta has been dodging her calls and there is no sign of a screening for her. If Deepika believes her character has been degraded in the film, she can object to the release of the film. Well, the film releases on Friday, the 13th. Do you think this controversy will be cleared until then? The trailer and the synopsis of the film have a close resemblance to Paranormal Activity. While Paranormal Activity did mess with everyone’s psyche, I’m not sure how much fear Ragini MMS has created. Do you want to watch it?
