First International Diamonds Day this August!

The first International Diamonds Day was announced at a press conference at Sun and Sand Hotel in Juhu this week.August 12 has been chosen as Diamonds Day. Hardik Hundiya ( the man behind the idea ) was at the event speaking to the media about his initiative. There are several jewelry brands that will support the endeavor and offer customers discounts and special offers on this day.

There were nine brand ambassadors who have been chosen to represent the nine planets( raashis) as this is considered auspicious in Hinduism. The nine actresses chosen to be a part of this year’s edition are Deepshikha, Yuvika Choudhry, Mink Brar, Sayantani Ghosh, Rucha Gujrati, Hrishita Bhatt, Sofia Hayat, Misti Mukherjee and Neeru Bajwa.

Hardik and the ladies inaugurated a diamond crystal and the Hira Manek newspaper specially created to announce this unique concept. They also unveiled a special cartoon that was created to depict Diamonds Day.

All nine actresses spoke to the media about their love for diamonds and also joked about how this was one day when every guy would be compelled to gift them to us ( We wish!)

In my little chat with Deepshika, I discovered that Diamonds Day was also her deceased father’s birthday which made it extremely special for her.

The cutest was this yellow umbrella which was designed by one of Hardik’s friends for the occasion. I really enjoyed how each of the girls described their relationship with the stone and even spoke about the significance of such a day in their lives.

A girl’s best friend does deserve a day dedicated to it. So, let the celebrations begin.
