Ralph Lauren – Spring 2012.

Inspired by the 1920’s – and especially the 1974 film, The Great Gatsby, for which he designed the costumes – American designer Ralph Lauren sent out his models in cloche hats and feather boas at the recently concluded New York Fashion Week. Returning to the romance of the Jazz Era, Ralph Lauren played with rich silks and cashmere for an ultra luxurious Spring 2012 collection.

Preferring to play with white, ivory and pastel tones, the Spring 2012 line has beautiful hues of ultra feminine colors like cotton candy pinks, mint greens and soft lavenders. There are a few romantic floral prints as well which appear on long dresses, calf-length skirts and silk-chiffon scarves.

Most of all, we liked the tuxedo look of white-shirt, tie, waistcoat and jacket – but worn with hot shorts! Very sensuous and super easy to wear for a cocktail party in Manhattan.
