Mumbai-based designer, Gavin Miguel, recently had the opportunity to show off his dramatic creations at The Louvre in Paris where he had designed costumes for a L’Oreal show.

Maintaining the “old India”  look, fused with “New Age India” –  India in all its culture and diversity was the canvas and theme that Gavin got to experiment with.

The show was divided into three sections. The Kamasutra era saw the models enact beautiful, soft dance movements in exaggerated hair pieces with crystal embellishments making each of the girls look ethereal.

The Sadhu sequence had the models dressed in edgy looks with skin tones in blue and hair in vibrant blue and flaming orange. Gavin had especially got the fabrics treated by Zeeshan from Glanz, to make it look authentic.

And finally, what would any fashion show be without a Bollywood theme? In this last and final sequence, the models sashayed like B-Town divas on the ramp, each adorning hairstyles that brilliantly defined the future of style and color.
