Everybody’s favourite Munni, Malaika Arora Khan was the surprise show-stopper for designer Bhairavi Jaikishan at her bridal fashion show in Mumbai last night. No one had an inkling that the sizzling hot mommie would don a bridal lehenga-choli ensemble and walk the ramp like a blushing bride.
Cheering her on in the audience were a number of Bhairavi’s socialite clients and friends like Bina Aziz (wife of Talat Aziz). As you might have read on our Twitter updates, Bina told me that ghazal singer Jagjit Singh is out of danger because he had a second surgery. They are planning on meeting him today in the hospital, or at least go and spend time with his wife, Chitra.
Later in the evening, I spotted the National Award Winning actress, Kangana Ranaut, with her close-friend Rajat Tangri. He is a well-known designer from Australia and is also Kangana’s stylist. For the fashion show (which she watched from the second row because she came in late), Rajat had her wear this lovely grey and green dress by Versace. We love the bling on the green detailing!
Also bling-and-beautiful was ex-model and actress Kehkashan Patel’s Judith Leiber clutch. Shaped like a white tiger, the minaudier dazzled like a million stars and attracted many oohs! and aahs!
Kehkashan had come to see designer Adarsh Gill’s bridal couture show, as did Poonam Sinha, Mozez Singh, Sanjay Khan, Suzanne Khan Roshan and Laila and Farhan Furniturewalla amongst many other socialites.
Adarsh Gill had actors Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza walk the ramp as her show-stoppers and this was another appearance by the duo to promote their upcoming film Love Breakups Zindagi.
