After having his designs worn by stalwarts like Michelle Obama, Demi Moore, Zoe Saldana and Oprah Winfrey, Nepalese designer Prabal Gurung now seems to be a favourite of the biggest fashionista on TV – Sarah Jessica Parker.
The style icon, best known for playing author Carrie Bradshaw in Sex & The City, has been wearing Prabal’s designs quite regularly to A-list events.
The designer, who studied at NIFT in Delhi and them went on to intern with Manish Arora reveals that Sarah Jessica Parker chooses her own designs without him helping her to pick out anything in particular.
In the picture above, SJP wears a dress in violet lame with a paint-drip effect to the premiere of I Don’t Know How She Does It, in Australia. However, in reality, it is woven to look that way and according to Gurung, it’s a very “Difficult” process.
