The latest music group on the scene is a group called Desi Playaaz comprised of Andy BIG (Bikram Bhullar) and Mista H (Harmeet Cheema). If you’re a fan of India’s Got Talent you’d recognize them as contestants of the show back in 2009 where they made it to the semi-finals. They call their music ‘Punjabi Funk’ or ‘P-Funk’ and aim to combine contemporary beats with Desi lyrics.
The group is now on the verge of releasing their debut album with their lead single Chal Jhoothee. With all the upcoming bands we’re seeing these days what do you guys think of this new sound?
