While reality show star, Veena Malik has bared (almost) all on the (very photo-shopped) cover of FHM this month, she is in pretty hot water right now, as far as her impending Swayamvar is concerned.
After the very controversial Rakhee Sawant and Rahul Mahajan, Imagine TV channel had approached Veena for the next edition of Swayamwar.
However, there are allegations that she’s already married to banned Pakistani cricketer Mohammed Asif and this has the TV industry in an uproar.
TV star Dolly Bindra asks, “She is already married. Then whose Swayamwar will happen? Kyun audiance ko cheat kiya ja raha hai? Why?”
In a press statement, actor Raza Murad, the Chairperson of the joint dispute settlement’s and the vigilance committee of the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) asks, “Couldn’t they find an Indian girl for the show that they had to seek a non-Indian? And my second question to the channel (Imagine TV) is: would Pakistan permit a show on national television where a girl from India goes seeking a bridegroom in their country? The answer is no. No aspiring bride from India would be allowed to participate in Pakistan.”
He also claims the actress does not have a valid visa to work in India.
However, what we’d really like to know is what about her relationship with Ashmit Patel? Has that fizzled out too?
