Abhishek Bachchan has become the first Indian male actor to receive a pair of customized Salvatore Ferragamo shoes – quite the honour, seeing as he joins Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Loren, Madonna etc in having a customized Ferragamo pair. He was presented with his shoes at an event in Mumbai on Wednesday, where he looked absolutely dashing (in a Ferragamo suit, of course). I’m still swooning a little; who knew the man packed that much charm?! :)

First off, gotta appreciate the guy for coming pretty much on time. He shows the media respect and earns it in return (evidenced by the fact that journos weren’t throwing questions at him as soon as he walked in; in fact someone even commented that they were surprised by this and Abhishek’s response was that we were a well-mannered crowd). He answered questions with ease and even patiently answered questions that I don’t know why people would ask in the first place – someone asked him for a comment on the fact that Bluffmaster‘s 6-year anniversary is approaching (how does it matter?) and whether he “ran a lot in Players” (huh?)

Abhishek sat in while the shoes were being designed, which is the reason I think the shoes seem to reflect his personality. They’re classy, simple, sophisticated – nothing t00 over-the-top. Suits him, I think! Your thoughts?

And, of course, while he was leaving, I couldn’t resist – I had to ask him for a picture! So I did, and he willingly posed for one. :)
