Says Vishal Shah, the designer of the brand, “Bracialeto is for the fashion conscious, self dependant women of today, giving the freedom to custom make her own piece of jewellery and to create your own style statement and unleashes the artist within you. Bracialeto makes you create your own masterpiece and string them into a necklace, bracelet, anklet reflecting your story, thoughts and moments of life in an exotic new range.”

Spotted on the models was jewelry fashioned from Murano glass beads, crystal beads and silver beads as well. The models also sported lovely big cocktail rings and beaded hair accessories. Just great to sport for a night on the town or to chill out at the nearest hot-spot!

Most interesting were the lovely outfits by Parul Bubna which were well appreciated by the audience.

DHARA THAKKAR

Designer Dhara Thakkar ruffled feathers for a lot of fashionistas sitting in the audience for her showing. The reason? Most of her collection saw a striking resemblance to pieces from Raakesh Aggarwal, Shane and Falguni Peacock and at times, even Gucci (a dress with a cut-out on the side).

We we asked her about the similarity in designs, she feigned knowing who Raakesh Aggarwal was. And then went on to say that Falguni & Shane use a lot of feathers in their designs and that none of her clothes had feathers! See the video for her reaction.

The cries of quasi-plagiarism not withstanding, Dhara tells us her collection is inspired by the Baroque era. Hence, you’ll find a lot of surface texturing on her clothes in the form of ruching, frayed hemlines, gathers, cowls and empire cuts with twisted sleeves.

Her silhouettes were free-flowing, symmetrical, balloon fitted, kaftans with a bend towards pants like cigarette pants teamed with a frayed-edged tops.
