The Givenchy ad campaign for Spring Summer 2012 is…. ahem… not very bright and sunny!
Starring leggy supermodel Giselle Bundchen along with models Chris Moore and Simone Nobili, the ad has the trio on a beach with black surfboards and dark, cloudy skies as the backdrop. The mood of the advertisement is very Twilight, with the beach looking rather pale, gothic and far from sun-kissed.
Givenchy’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci says the ad is “The expression of a love story between a surfer and a mermaid.”
But somehow, I’m not getting that! Are you?
