I’ve written my fair share of birthday posts for this blog, but this is by far the most interesting one I’ve had to write. I’m still convinced our dear brand coordinator Amruta was slightly “under the influence” when she decided we’d be doing a post for him – and then on top of that decided I’d be the one to do it! (Her justification is that I’m the youngest and therefore the closest to “schooling age”).

Well, if you must know, Physics was my favourite subject in high school (though I pretended otherwise; it was not cool to be a Physics geek!) and I most enjoyed learning Newton’s laws. So, for this great scientist’s birthday, I’ve taken one of his laws – each action has an equal and opposite reaction – and show you how we’ve been using it in Bollywood all along!

1) Action: You fall in love…

Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan

Reaction: You are automatically teleported to Switzerland

(where you will magically get the tolerance to dance in the snow while wearing a flimsy sari).

*

Action: You decide you want to be a photographer/painter/writer…

3 Idiots

Reaction: You become an engineer/doctor/lawyer.

*

3) Action: You fall in love with the rich heroine…

Amisha Patel and Hrithik Roshan

Reaction: Cash or death

(cash if you accept her father’s bribe to forget about her… death if you don’t).

*

4) Action: Your marriage has been arranged to someone decent and respectable…

Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan

Reaction: You promptly fall in love with a person your strict father will hate.

*

5) Action: You decide to defy your parents and follow your own heart for a change…

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Reaction: You’re out on the streets.

6) Action: You give into one night of passion…

Reaction: “Main tumhare bacche ki maa banne waali hoon!”
