Happy Birthday Riya Sen
Happy Birthday Riya Sen

Riya Sen is one of the hottest women in B-town. She has an illustrious lineage, with her grandmother, Suchitra Sen, her mother, Moon Moon Sen, and her sister Raima Sen, all making an impeccable mark in Indian cinema. This Bengali babe has done some interesting work in the past decade, in Hindi as well as regional cinema. Style, a comedy with Sharman Joshi, was where it all began – Riya played the  fun, fearless college gal to perfection and she looked super hot as well.

Riya does have a flair for comedy and was fab in her roles in Shaadi No.1 and Apna Sapna Money Money, which are two of my favorites. She has also had a great modelling career, and her sensuous image has helped her bag endorsements with a few mega brands.

She has also featured in some amazing music videos right from Falguni Pathak‘s “Yaad Piya Ki” (she was only sixteen when she shot for it), to the famous Jagjit Singh and Asha Bhonsle song, “Jab Saamne Tum Aa Jate Ho” ( loveee the video with Riya in a doube role).

In 2010, Riya acted in Rituparno Ghosh‘s Bengali flick, Abohoman, and followed this up with Noukadubi, by the same director, the following year. Noukadubi was Riya’s first film with her sister Raima Sen and the movie was dubbed in Hindi under the name Kashmakash. This film was critically acclaimed in India as well as at various international film festivals.

This really marked the beginning of Riya’s successful foray into Bengali cinema & her way of paying tribute to her roots. As Riya celebrates her birthday today, we wish her a year filled with promise and joy.

We at Team MissMalini wish Riya Sen a superb birthday and a great year ahead with a bunch of memorable roles and fun memories.
