I’ve never seen Cherubs that dangle from your ears, but I have to say for some odd reason, I’m drawn to them. I find myself in absolute amazement as I flip through more pictures from this Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 collection. In fact, no one in their right mind should even like these accessories, but they grow on you. The jewellery, bags, shoes and even sunglasses, are a bold display of gaudy vulgarity, that shouldn’t be appealing, yet it all seems to work in a way to persuade you, that it’s utterly fabulous.

Even as I write this review, I’m so indecisive on what they’ve put before me; it’s almost as if an Italian Church altar has been deconstructed, to make each accessory reminiscent of  mass on Sunday. Stefano and Domenico must be giving up something for lent, because flamboyance definitely isn’t it. I’m sure Anna Della Russo, is clamoring to own a piece (or all) of it.

The collection itself, is not different from what they usually do, but this time the real spotlight was on their accessories, rather than the clothes. I know they’ve been feeling the economic pinch lately, and it was a wise step from the duo to pay attention to their accessories, which are currently what sells the most amongst fashion houses. Yet, it leaves me wondering whether many will truly see the beauty of these strange but albeit fantastic pieces, enough to buy them.
