As you know, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan had a very public falling out recently during Sanjay Dutt’s party, when her husband Shirish Kunder got into a brawl with SRK and Sanju. The episode become a matter of public embarrassment for Farah who rushed to Mannat with her husband later that night escorted by peace-makers brother Sajid Khan and producer friend Sajid Nadiadwala in tow. The four sat down and apologized to Shah Rukh for what happened at the party. Farah was apparently in tears and kept saying, “you are family, please forgive us.”
Shah Rukh decided to let the matter go that very same day and made peace with Shirish and Farah. However, he sternly told FK
that if there was a repeat of such an incident their relationship would take a serious beating. A few days later, Farah sent him a text saying she wants to start her film Happy New Year which was written a few years ago keeping SRK in mind. (Remember earlier SRK was still pretty peeved with Farah for going with rival actor Akshay Kumar and making Tees Maar Khan?)
Turns out later on, SRK who has a 100% track record with Farah with both Om Shanti Om and Main Hoon Na being super hits, decided that he would go ahead with Happy New Year. He sent her a text saying, “Sure let’s meet.” Farah was so thrilled with the response that she didn’t wait and took a flight to London to meet Khan who is shooting a Yash Raj film there. She thanked him for considering the offer and the two celebrated the rekindling of their dosti by opening a bottle of champagne in his room!
Now that they’re cool it’s only a matter of time before we see the two friends hanging out in public and engaging in their trademark friendly banter! All Is Well – that end’s well Eh?
