Before Whitney Houston tragically passed away almost two months ago she was looking forward to what she and everyone involved with the project believed would be her comeback film – Sparkle.
Sparkle is a remake of the 1976 film by the same name and is inspired by the story of legendary Motown group The Supremes. Jordin Sparks plays the title character Sparkle while the film also stars Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick & CeeLo Green. The film marks Whitney Houston’s last performance where she plays Sparkle’s mother Emma.
