Let’s just say, Anurag Basu was super angry when he found out that Ranbir Kapoor has revealed Barfi‘s secret, because it was supposed to be a well-guarded one.
Remember we showed you Ranbir’s new look for an advertisement? Well, turns out that it’s almost identical to one of his looks in Barfi, which was being kept a secret. Apparently, Anurag was angry when he saw Ranbir went ahead and donned the look for the TVC even while knowing Anurag and the producers were guarding it closely.
Says Anurag, “I was at the airport when I first caught a glimpse of Ranbir and that too on mute. I was shocked. I thought someone had put Barfi‘s first look out there without my knowledge!”
It was only after he made some panicked calls that he found out it was for Ranbir’s TVC. But, despite the fact that he was initially angry, he seems to have accepted it now. He claims that he’s worked with Ranbir for TVCs before and he knows that Ranbir just goes ahead and does what the director says, no questions asked. He’s still upset, but believes that what’s happened has happened, so it’s time to move on.
So, either Anurag is extremely forgiving or this is just another one of those publicity stunts disguised as a leak. What’s your take?
