Shah Rukh Khan Takes a Backseat When it Comes to the IPL

Shah Rukh Khan says he is confident about his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, at the IPL, and believes they will perform well. When asked what strategies he has in mind for the team, here’s what he said to The Times of India today.

Shah Rukh Khan says: “I don’t strategise. I am just an owner and support the team. We have some wonderful minds this time and they have been working very hard. I am glad that the younger boys have been doing very well. I have always been a big believer that if we have young guys doing well consistently, our team will stand to gain a lot. So hopefully it will happen this year, because most of our star players are doing well.”

Glad that he leaves it up to his team and knows that he’d be better off in the capacity of a supporter. As for his belief in young talent, looks like that translates from his Bollywood career as well – he always talks about how much he learns from the younger actors when he works with them, like Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, who he’s starring with in an upcoming Yash Raj Films flick.
