We all know Karan Johar likes everything in his life to be Big Bollywood and Glamorous. I don’t think “small scale” and “regular” even feature in his vocabulary. So obviously his own 40th birthday is slated to be the Queen of all parties. (See what I did there? *lol*)
He gets back from Bangkok on May 4th, and will then start putting the wheels in motion for his huge birthday bash on May 25th in Mumbai. Everyone from the actors he’s worked with to his young proteges at Dharma will be invited. Karan has already drafted a rough list that starts with his BFF Shah Rukh Khan and then moves to the young brigade of directors like Ayan Mukerji, Punit Malhotra, Shakun Batra etc.
Of course all the big families – The Bachchans, the other Khans (Salman, Aamir and Saif), the Chopra’s (probably not PC, but Aditya and Rani) have already been told to pencil it in. Caterers have been asked to prepare a lavish spread of vegetarian and
non-vegetarian entrees and I’m told dessert might be flown in from one of this favourite bakeries in the US!
I found this cake someone made for some lucky kid called Arshavin for his birthday, I’m hoping this is what they go with for KJo too. *grin*
My spy reports there will also be a theme that everyone has to strictly follow. Watch this space for deets.
