When I logged on to Google today, I was pleasantly surprised to see this bright and colourful doodle, commemorating graffiti artist Keith Haring’s fifty-fourth birthday.
Anybody familiar with his work will take pleasure in the fact that it’s very vibrant and happy and most often shows graphics of people in celebration and dancing – which is what the Google doodle also conveys, today. Unfortunately,Keith was diagnosed with AIDS in 1988 but even that, he turned into something positive by launching the Keith Haring Foundation in 1989, to create funds for children’s charities and other organizations which were helping in the battle against AIDS.
Keith ultimately passed away at the age on thirty-one, in 1990, but he left behind a vast legacy of art work which can be viewed at numerous top-rated museums across the world.
