Amitabh Bachchan recently shot for a track for Rohit Shetty‘s Bol Bachchan, which is inspired from his earlier Amar Akbar Anthony. In one of his recent blog posts, he spoke about the recent trend of ‘recreating’ things in Bollywood, and wonders whether that means nothing new can be expected from the industry today, and whether it’s an indication for him to stop acting.

Amitabh Bachchan says, “When they start recreating your ‘stuff’, is it an indication that the days are over? That nothing fresh and new can be expected? I do not point fingers to the films its makers or even the actors. I point a rather shaky finger to myself. Is it an indication to me that I should stop expecting, stop operating… just stop!”

He further goes on to speak about that respect which he feels is an indication that his time has come to stop –  the feet-touching and the patronizing smile; all symptoms, he believes, that tells him he’s no longer required.

So what do you think – is it time for Amitabh Bachchan’s career to come to an end, or should he tell everyone a resounding, “Buddah hoga tera baap”?
