Day 6 of Cannes Film Festival had the premiere of French film Vous N’Avez Encore Rien Vu, the Chopard Mystère party and IWC Annual Filmmakers dinner. Fashion-wise, I’d rather say it was an off day, but hey, that’s okay ‒ it’s not possible to sustain the level of high fashion we’ve witnessed so far over a 12-day period. Still it’s worth checking what they wore… 🙂

How do I not pick you as my best dressed for the day when you go for Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Couture? Both for her day and evening look French actress Anne Consigny wore two ah-may-zing pieces from the rising star of couture’s gorgeous Spring 2012 collection ‒ and how chic and sophisticated she looked at both times! For the photocall for her film Vous N’Avez Encore Rien Vu during the day, it was a tomato red crochet dress with tulle hem and cinched at the waist with a rose-gold belt. Gold strappy sandals and hooped earrings completed her flawless daytime look.

The film’s premiere in the evening had her wear a baby pink satin crepe gown with lace insert, a pleated underskirt in Chantilly lace and a pink satin bow at the waist. Diamond drop earrings completed her look. Between the two Alexis Mabille outings on Anne, I’d have to go for her daytime look, which was… just so effortless!

Li Bingbing was in head-to-toe Gucci and I was kinda underwhelmed by this ensemble of her. It was a custom teal green silk georgette gown with black and dark green fully encrusted flowers embroidered across the shoulders. The dress featured a deep plunging neckline, fitted waist and cascading train. She completed the look with a black satin clutch with a silver fringe tassel, black satin closed toe platform heels and an 18K white gold horsebit cocktail ring with diamond and beryl (all by Gucci).

But rather Li Bingbing’s unexciting Gucci gown than the new Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe‘s gold lamé custom Emilio Pucci gown! Ugh. The halter-necked gown with pleated skirt and black lace insert was beyond tacky! Swarovski jewels completed her look.

Stylist Caroline Sieber wore a modified version of a backless Alessandra Rich S/S’12 column gown to the Chopard Mystère ball. The midnight blue micro-sequined gown was customised with a long polka dot ribbon at the back, which I thought was rather cute! Matching black satin clutch and pumps and Chopard jewels (of course!) rounded off her look.

Aaaarrrgggh. Natasha Poly was at it yet again. That is, doing a leg-off with Angie’s right leg, in a black Emilio Pucci gown with a dangerously high slit, at the Chopard ball.

Chinese model Liu Wen wore a teal one-shouldered chiffon column gown with some tasteful cutouts by Roberto Cavalli, which she paired with a black intrawoven (Bottega Veneta?) clutch. She looked gorge!

It was a Oscar de la Renta A/W’12 strapless gown for model Erin Wasson at the Chopard masked ball. The multi-colour pailette and beaded fringe silk crepe de Chine column gown, I thought, oozed sophisticated beach chic. Chopard jewels from its haute joaillerie collection and her tousled locks finished off her look.

Model Anja Rubik donned a demure (by her standards!) black silk-muslin pleated dress with gold accents by Gucci to the Chopard soiree, which I quite liked‒ and of course, some Chopard jewels! Specifically, yellow diamond chandelier earrings and a diamond-encrusted polar bear ring from the label’s haute joaillerie collection.

How dapper is Sean Combs/Puff Daddy/P.Diddy looking? But guys, don’t try this at home. #stayawayfromshinysuits
