Rajasthan Fashion Week started off beautifully, and I can say the same for day 2. Day 2 started with Poonam Patel and Swati Modo.

This was Poonam Patel’s first time showcasing her line, and it was lovely also nature inspired. Her collection consisted of draped dresses. Basically when Bollywood meets Hollywood, and  is made into a dress! Poonam Patel is well known in Varodra for her Navratri dresses and kurtas for men. She was nervous the entire time because this was her first show, and was worried about the critics, but everyone adored her work. These draped dresses are perfect for India’s hot summer!

Swati Modo was the official shoe partner for all of the designers throughout the entire fashion week, but really stole the show with her shoe creations in Poonam’s show. The designs of her shoes were impeccable, and they matched each dress beautifully.

Hetal Sharma is another designer who showcased her work at RFW her line was called, “Power of Shiva. Throughout her show you notice the models are wearing rudraksh necklaces and bracelets, and the fabric mainly used is khadi. Her collection appealed to me because it was earth-toned, and looked very nice as casual wear, but she also found ways to accent her outfits with accessories to make for an awesome look for evening wear as well.

Sunita’s line was absolutely gorgeous she called it, “the essence of womanhood.” The outfits were beautiful and bright. My favorite is probably the saree Anchal Kumar wore in the beginning it was stunning. The make-up was beautifully done as well.

Sumit Das Gupta is a favorite of mine from Day 2 Sumit’s showstopper was Aamir Ali. Sumit grasped the traditional Indian woman when making all of his designs. There wasn’t one outfit that wasn’t less than beautiful. The colors were put together perfectly you notice the use of velvet, brocades, and zari work in his collection.

Designer Arpita presented her collection in one direct color scheme of aqua (blue based). Beautifully styles draped dresses, gowns, and traditional Indian attire is seen throughout her entire collection. The use of sequins, and net is visible as well.

Designer Pam Mehta is one of my absolute favorite designers her line was beautifully done, sexy, blinged out, and used vibrant colors throughout her line. The entire line screamed royal traditional. What drove the crowd wild was when her show stopper Riya Sen stepped out looking so gorgeous in Mehta’s collection. Each model had a different look to them which made them stick out as well. The use of accessories, and head pieces made everything about each outfits stick out more.

Jaipur Based Designer Rohit Kamra set  the ramp on fire with his collection called Dance of life. Rohit used different colors throughout his collection and said each color represented something such as: white represented eternity, and the earthy tones yellow, orange, green, and blue represented different moods. Rohit was inspired to make this line by the heat of the summer he wanted to be able to give clothing options that would allow someone to be trendy even during the heat. Rajasthan Royals players Pankaj Singh, Ashok Menaria, and Dishant Yagnik walked the ramp for Rohit.
